From the Vestry (Nov)

Highlights from the November Vestry meeting:

  • We spent some time discussing our strategic plan and discerning the next steps: a pastoral care team is to be established by March, and work will continue on setting up small groups.

  • A security reminder - please check all external doors are locked before leaving the premises.

  • The first draft of the 2023 Budget was presented and discussed. The bulk of our income comes from the generosity of you, our parishioners. If you are not already on our direct giving scheme, please chat to Neil about joining. Knowing what our guaranteed income is going to be makes future planning much easier.

  • Also, spread the word that we have halls available for hire.

  • We are exploring the feasibility of installing solar panels on the hall roof.

  • We are hoping to run "Meals for Six" again in February - if you would like to host a meal, please speak to Barb or Anna.

  • A new church sign has been installed on our Opawa Rd frontage- many thanks to Meredith for designing this, and to Speedy Signs (79 Brisbane St) for making it.

  • The brass candlesticks and bookrest from St Anne's Chapel are being treated so they won't require lots of polishing!

  • A maintenance schedule for the Vicarage is being worked on.
