From the Vestry

Vestry Snippets from August’s Zoom meeting:

Thank you to everyone who supported the Court Jesters evening, and also to those who supplied items for the raffles (final amount raised yet to be confirmed).

The fundraising committee will be looking at more ideas soon – if you have an idea to share, please let us know.

Two broken roof tiles at 3 Vincent Place have been replaced – thank you Nick.

St Anne’s Chapel work should begin very soon.

The purchase of the church carpet, carpet tiles for the foyer, lounge and office and the chairs for both spaces has been approved. The flooring for the Wilson Room is yet to be finalised.

Many thanks for the website upgrade. Go and have a look: www.osmparish.com

Work continues on the governance handbook.

Health & Safety: no incidents to report. We will of course adhere to all Government & Diocesan advice as we navigate changes to Covid-19 Alert levels.

We give thanks that the financial situation is much healthier than predicted by the budget. Increased giving is the key, with a number of generous extra donations from our faithful parishioners. Thank you, thank you. Giving for the year to date is approx. $10,000 over budget. Fundraising is $4,600 up on budget, but remembering that the planned and budgeted fair will not be held. Trade Me sales of over $350 to date has helped the fundraising. (Some of this arose from the garage sale, and is to be shared with the Presbyterians).
